The first quarter was off to a strong start for Coldwell Banker affiliates, particularly in terms of maintaining relationships with its existing franchise companies. In the first quarter alone, 33 companies representing $7.7 billion in sales volume were renewed, 75% of the total of sales volume renewed in the entire year of 2024. This strong commitment to renewal underscores the enduring appeal and strategic advantage of the Coldwell Banker brand, affirming its position as a trusted and indispensable force in the real estate industry. In the United States, Coldwell Banker and Coldwell Banker Commercial introduced three new companies and saw particularly great recruiting from Coldwell Banker Heritage, while internationally the brand opened 17 new locations in seven countries.

New Markets and Major Recruiting Efforts Domestically

In addition to affiliating new companies and renewing franchise relationships with key companies, organic growth efforts were particularly strong in the first quarter.  Coldwell Banker Heritage, based in Ohio recruited two significant teams to their already impressive roster of over 600 agents. Broker/Owner Ron Sweeney proudly announced the recruitment of Toni Donato Shade, the top agent in Dayton, Ohio market at her previous brokerage who also achieved the top sales recognition from the Dayton board of Realtors. Toni joins Coldwell Banker Heritage to launch a team with two other agents and has officially begun Toni & Co., having significant success in the first 30 days of joining.

Sweeney also introduced Chip James & Britt Hood to his company, two agents joining the company to launch a team, operating as ‘Chip & Britt’. Chip had a successful career in Ohio with a competitive brokerage, left for Florida and came back to Ohio with a competitor, but recently made the decision to join Coldwell Banker Heritage as a team and expand into the luxury space focusing on the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury^® program. Sweeney explains, “We have 45 teams and approximately 450 individual agents, so we are equipped to help both agents and teams achieve operational excellence and real estate sales success, and with differentiators like the Global Luxury marketing program, we can truly stand out amongst our competitors.”

The Coldwell Banker Network Opens 17 Locations Outside the U.S. in First Quarter

Globally, Coldwell Banker international affiliates opened 17 new locations for new and existing companies in seven different countries, a promising start to 2025. Q1 Highlights below:

Coldwell Banker Argentina opened two offices in the Capital Federal area of Buenos Aires, further cementing its strong presence in the capital of Argentina.

• Coldwell Banker Spain & Andorra opened two new companies in the key markets of Estepona, Guadalmina, Marbella, and Aravaca/Pozuelo, a posh neighborhood outside of Madrid.
• Coldwell Banker Türkiye opened 9 new offices in Q1, leading growth efforts for all of our Coldwell Banker Global operations.
